Caring for your Shobain lingerie is important if you want to make sure your beautiful pieces shine in their full glory for the longest possible time. The lingerie was made just for you and asks for a little bit of gentle handling. Since the pieces are made from very delicate materials, we should avoid machine washing or putting them in the dryer. So what are you supposed to do then? Don’t worry, it’s not complicated! Scroll down to the bottom of this post to watch the short video I have prepared too!
How to hand-wash delicate lingerie
If you have pieces from different Shobain collections, make sure to separate them by color.
Take a clothes basin (if you don’t have one, a clean bathroom sink will do) and place your lingerie in it.
Cover in lukewarm water and add a little bit of gentle detergent.
Swish the pieces around so you’re sure they are all submerged and leave for 15 – 20 minutes.
After the pieces have soaked for a bit, it will be easy to clean them. Make sure to gently scrub the gussets of the panties (the parts that lie directly on your intimate parts).
Rinse all of the pieces under cool water.
To avoid wringing out which could affect some delicate fabrics, take a clean towel and wrap the pieces inside. Gently tap and excess water will be soaked in by the towel.
Hang up or lay flat to dry. If laying flat to dry, avoid placing the items directly on hot radiators as the heat may affect them – instead place a thick towel as a buffer or wrap the items in the towel first!
That’s it! Your lingerie is clean, and ready to be stored in your lingerie drawer and worn time and time again!
